This 4-day Assessor programme provides education and training practitioners with the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct outcomes-based assessments. Assessors will be able to make use of different tools and techniques to determine if a learner is competent or not yet competent. This programme is currently accredited with ETDP SETA.

This programme is aligned to the following Unit Standards:

Conduct outcome-based assessments
Unit Standard 115753 NQF 5– 15 credits

  • Planning and preparing for assessment
  • Preparing learners for assessment
  • Gathering knowledge and performance evidence
  • Making assessment judgements
  • Recording assessment results
  • Providing assessment feedback
  • Reviewing assessment practices
  • Learning different assessment techniques
     

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:

The credit calculation is based on the assumption that those starting to learn towards this unit standard have no previous assessment experience. It is assumed, though, that the candidate-assessors have evaluative expertise within the area of learning in which they intend to assess.
